‘Creative Film in Schools’ is a new report which describes an innovative film project in South Wales primary schools.

Film and Digital Media is one of the five disciplines in the Expressive Arts area of the new curriculum. So how can Primary school children learn about film and use it creatively?

With the support of Ffilm Cymru Wales and the British Film Institute, Learnaboutfilm piloted a project that involves film viewing and filmmaking.

The approach was based on the established international programme Le Cinéma, Cent Ans de Jeunesse (Cinema, 100 Years Young).

The report describes what was learnt from the project and includes advice on filmmaking in schools. You can read or download it here.
